STEP 1
All students under the age of 25 has to take a course in basic traffic knowledge
before the driving lessons can start (both at home and at a driving school). You must always bring the certificate from the course when you are driving.
Driving in the dark-demonstration is a part of the course in basic road traffic knowledge. This is a course where the student through theory and different practical demonstrations get to experience how it is to drive in the dark. The course is one evening, and everybody, no matter what age, has to attend this course.

Students under the age of 25 who have not attended the driving in the dark-demonstration before the 31st of October, cannot continue their driver training between Nov. 1st and March 15th until you have attended the course.
Students over the age of 25 must have attended the driving in the dark-demonstration and the first aid course at the latest 3 working days before the practical test. If the practical test is conducted between March 15th and Nov. 1st, the candidate, no matter what age, has until the 1st of February the following year, to attend the driving in the dark-demonstration since the course only is conducted in the winter.

STEP 2
On step 2 you will work on your technical skills such as starting, stopping, hill starts and use of gear. The step concludes with the first mandatory session, the First evaluation and guidance session (45 min.)
STEP 3
The goal with this step is that the student is able to drive safely and independent in all types of traffic. You will work on placing the car correctly, changing lanes, how to drive in roundabouts and on freeways etc. At the end of step 3 you will conduct the Security course on slippery surface which is
one driving seession up to the track in Fetsund, theoretical and practical exercises on the slippery track and one driving session back to the driving school. This takes approximately 5 hours. To finish step 3 you will conduct the Second evaluation and guidance session (45 min.)
STEP 4
Now you are almost at a level where you can pass the practical test. Step 4 is the Security course on the road. This is a full day where you come to the driving school at 8 am for 1,5 hours of theory before you drive in all types of traffic for a whole day. To complete the course you have to attend the theoretical course which concludes all of the mandatory courses. We have this course every second Monday at 4 pm- 5.30 pm. It is included in the price for Security course on the road.
